TEMPERATURE CONTROL FOR DYNO TESTING OF EV COMPONENTS

Electrical Vehicle bench tests demand wide temperature ranges and JULABO temperature control systems replicate coolant lines to provide precise simulation of real-life conditions.

A PRESTO A45 (-45 °C to 250 °C) with a flow meter/fluid by-pass maintains temperature of the test bed while simultaneously regulating the flow rate of the fluid.

A typical testing requirement for the test bed is to hold 65 °C with the component under different load conditions.   At idle the PRESTO A45 can maintain 65 °C with 30 % (1.8 kW) power in a series of steps up to a full load test, the component requires cooling at 3-4 % (0.14 kW) cooling input to remove heat generated.
